Top 10 Pesawat Militer Termahal

10. F/A-18 Hornet: $94 million
F/A-18 Hornet is a strike fighter airplane that designed to be able to attack ground and air targets. It also has the ability to be placed on the aircraft carrier. The aircraft is designed for the Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps, and is also used by other countries. This aircraft is also a demonstrator aircraft for the Blue Angels since 1986.

9. EA-18G Growler: $102 million
Boeing EA-18G aircraft has the ability to disrupt communications and radar systems, signal capture, and attacking anti-aircraft radars on land. The old version of this plane has been used in Iraq to paralyze the trigger signal in the roadside bomb

8. V-22 Osprey: $118 million
Wide reach, speed and flexibility, it is desired by all aircraft designer. No exception on this V-22. V-22 aircraft is not a helicopters or airplane only, but a combination of both. Double speed, five times further reach, and can fly twice higher than the usual helicopter became the hallmarks of this V-22. This is the first time in history helicopter were produced with a vertical rotor with a tilt position that combines the performance of a helicopter with high speed airplane wing. With two times faster than a helicopter, capable of carrying up to 24 troops, or up to 9072 kg internal cargo or 6804 kg outside cargo.

7. F-35 Lightning II: $122 million
This aircraft is a single-seater fighter plane, single-engine, which can perform many functions, including air-to-air, close air support and tactical bombing. Aircraft development was funded by the United States, United Kingdom, and other countries. The aircraft was developed and manufactured by theaerospace industry, led by Lockheed Martin and two major associates, BAE Systems and Northrop Grumman.

6. E-2D Advanced Hawkeye: $232 million
A major step forward for surveillance and reconnaissance, Advanced Hawkeye powerful new radar system will increase 300% of the coverage area that can be monitored by an aircraft. Although the development of the aircraft is on track and the two test versions have been delivered to the navy, but budget cuts could make the aircraft grounded for at least a year longer than planned.

5. VH-71 Kestrel: $241 million
VH-71 Kestrel helicopter is a product of the AgustaWestland AW101 (formerly EH101). This helicopter is now being built to replace the old president helicopter, as the President of the US transport helicopter.

2. F-22 Raptor: $350 million
F-22 Raptor is a fighter aircraft of United States that uses stealth technology. The aircraft was originally planned to be used as air superiority fighter for use against Soviet aircraft, but the aircraft was also equipped for ground attack, electronic warfare and signals intelligence. This aircraft had gone through a long development period, given a prototype version of a YF-22, three years before the given name was officially adopted F/A-22, and finally given the name of the F-22A when it officially came into use in December 2005. Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is the prime contractor responsible for producing most of the fuselage, weapons, and assembling the F-22. Then his partner, Boeing Integrated Defense Systems produces wings, avionics equipment, and pilot and maintenance training.

1. B-2 Spirit: $2.4 billion
This stealth aircraft have the ability to avoid detection, both visual detection, audio, heat sensors, as well as radio waves (radar). Visually, the plane more difficult to see if have same color as the background color (camouflage). In the audio, of course, trying to make the plane more calmly. In the heat sensors, aircraft are usually detected from the heat arising from the body or from the surrounding air temperature. Hottest part of the plane is usually a channel airexhaust or engine exhaust and the leading edge (the first part of the aircraft through the air). Those things make the B 12 become so expensive in the development.
